Thats a rough call. I was behind a pig hauler truck that tipped over on an icey morning here in Buffalo when it was heading to Canada for Ovine University.

The cab was stout enough for the rollover to get the driver out and by the time local units got there the diesel fire was pretty well contained to the cab, but those pig screams were the stuff of nightmares

Been to several pig barn and horse barn blazes, they are never good. Also witnessed a tractor-trailer loaded with cattle rollover. The priority is to get the cattle out and corral them. Not good at all.

Just across the river from my house is Smithfield Packing (Smithfield Ham, etc.). They slaughter around 15,000 hogs every day. Livestock trucks from North Carolina and other locations in Virginia are a daily occurrence, and accidents involving them happen at least once every year. Even if half of the hogs in a wreck survive, that leaves around 90 to catch and corral. Not to mention the cleanup of the ones that didn't survive. It's a chore. And that's not their biggest plant. That one is in Tar Hell, NC, and it slaughters 32,000 hogs every day.

The run came in a 1830 hours, at 1930 hours Shoprite had a run on BBQ sauce and potato salad and ran out, at 2030 hours several houses throughout the 22 Battalion were enjoying BBQ night ! 🤣

Between the two, that accounts for about 47,000 pigs - a day!
Naw, if they take weekends off, that comes out to about 12,220,000 pigs a year.
I wonder who handles the pig viagra and fertility drugs??
