One person has died as a result of a house fire in the suburbs of Cincinnati Sunday morning. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the house. Upon entering the house, a whole was found in the floor just inside the front door, forcing fire crews to enter from the rear. One victim was located in the house. The hole in the floor caused difficulties in accessing the victim and it was 15 minutes from the time the first company arrived on scene until the victim was removed from the house.

The first due fire company was significantly delayed by a stopped train. I went back and listened to the dispatch audio and at the time E59 reported their delay it should have taken them about 30 seconds to arrive at scene. E83 ended up being first on scene and arrived two and a half minutes after the reported delay.
