Long Beach NY (Nassau) Working Fire 6/12/26

On the hot and humid afternoon of Friday, June 12th, 2026, the Long Beach Fire Dept. along with mutual aid cos. operated on the scene of a working fire on East Park Ave. Firefighters stretched three hand lines and put at least two hand lines into operation for a fire in the basement of a one-story taxpayer [row of stores]. The scene was placed under control after approximately thirty minutes, there were no serious injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
