Morrell St. was an old WILLIAMSBURG BKLYN St. a block & a half East of 108s old QTRS (112 Seigel St. bet Graham Ave & Humboldt St.).....it ran for 5 blocks from Flushing Ave to Seigel St (at the point Seigel intersects with the curve of Bushwick Ave where the Public Library still is.....Morrell St was parallel & in between Humboldt St & Bushwick Ave. ....Morrell St was "discontinued" as a street in 1958 when a 16 acre site of various occupancies was demolished to build the "Bushwick https://www.nyc.gov/assets/nycha/downloads/pdf/Bushwick.pdf / Hylan Houses https://www.nyc.gov/assets/nycha/downloads/pdf/Hylan.pdf a combined group of 13 to 20 sty City (NYCHA) Projects bounded by Seigel St on the North....Humboldt St on the West....Flushing Ave on the South & Bushwick Ave on the East.....this resulted in the relocating of Alarm Boxes & the elimination of one completely ........701 which was Morrell & Moore Sts became Moore St 75 ft West of Bushwick Ave.....708 which was Bushwick Ave & Moore St became Bushwick Ave opposite Varet St .......3758 which was Cook & Morrell Sts was eliminated .....709 which was Flushing Ave & Morrell St ( photo of Box 709 during construction of the Projects http://www.brooklynvisualheritage.org/home/corner-flushing-avenue-and-morrell-street.html ) became Flushing Ave opposite Garden St. ......Box 709 today https://www.google.com/maps/@40.701...yYHf3YMO1TkXyVIw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu

? I heard those streets like Morrell and surrounding streets were tight. was that true?
