Mount Vernon, NY Firefighter Arrest Record: How Low Can You Go?

Let's forget for a second that he was just arrested for Robbery and Assault. BEFORE he was hired he had TWO felony arrests. Up until his most recent arrest, he had 8 CONVICTIONS!!

"Two of Charles Clayton's arrests were for felony charges. He has been arrested once since becoming a firefighter on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. The arrest happened in 2011 and he pled guilty to driving while ability impaired by alcohol, a traffic infraction.

All of his arrests occurred in Mount Vernon, Port Chester and the Bronx. Those arrests included charges of DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana, bail jumping and resisting arrest. He has been convicted twice of driving while ability impaired by alcohol, a traffic infraction. He has been convicted three times of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Additionally, he has convictions for bail jumping, resisting arrest and reckless driving."

How many more felons are riding with MVFD???? I can't imagine being the guy on that job who is professional, responsible and respectful. If this was a police department (not like the PD doesn't have their problems, but that's another rant), the feds would have taken over ages ago.

From Lohud.com:

"A second Mount Vernon Firefighter was arrested- Michael Holt, 45, was charged with child endangerment, unlawful imprisonment, menacing and attempted assault. Holt is accused of holding a 13-year-old student down and striking him last October. Holt had a drug conviction when he was hired by the Fire Department and the agency."

Meanwhile, the outstanding Mayor of Mount Vernon addresses the other recently arrested firefighter:

"These guys come out of jail and can't get a job," said Davis. "What do you think they are going to do?"

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!!
