I don't know why the 10-60 code was changed. Maybe to better fit each situation where is is transmitted. But here are the new code and units on each

5th Due Battalion Chief is designated Staging Area Manager and a Staging Area
shall be established. (Unless SA already established on 10-60, then BC can be
designated Sector Supervisor, Street Coordination Manager, Strike Team

Enhanced Technical Rescue Resources Required ? Large Scale
Major Emergency Incident with the potential for multiple casualties, with the need
for Enhanced Technical Rescue Resources. Incident is of a larger scale requiring
an enhanced 2nd Alarm assignment, e.g. collapse of a 6 story multiple dwelling, an
explosion with severe collateral structural damage, airplane crash (except Airport
Crash Boxes 37 LaGuardia and 269 JFK).
The total response will be:
10-60 Code 1 assignment plus:
5 - Add?l Engine Companies
3 - Add?l Ladder Companies
1 - Add?l Battalion Chief
6th Due Battalion Chief can be designated Sector Supervisor, Street Coordination
Manager, Strike Team Leader, etc. (IC discretion)

Individual Resources
Victim Removal Group:
Defined as 3 Engines, 2 Ladders and 1 Battalion Chief whose primary duty is
the removal of victims via skeds, stokes, etc. The IC may choose to utilize
these companies as individual resources.
Add?l Rescue Task Forces
Add?l Alarms
A second or higher alarm following the transmission of a 10-60 signal will
require only the balance of engines, ladders and chief officers needed to fulfill
the requirement for the multiple alarm.
