It is with great regret to announce the death of Norfolk Firefighter Jonathan ?Johnny? Myers. Johnny died today at DePaul Medical Center. He had just finished a training exercise at Norfolk Fire Station 13, he was found by his colleagues in the station bunkroom, unconscious, pulseless, and apneic. CPR was initiated and he was transported to DePaul Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Johnny was and an avid softball player who played on many championship teams, he regularly attended the MDA Softball Tournament in Maryland, he survived by his wife Nancy. Arrangements are pending. VBFD has offered our support to the Norfolk Fire Department. More information will be forthcoming.
