Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know what procedures and protocols that are in effect for the marathon today? Any reserve units manned, etc?

Thanks

DUE TO THE NYC MARATHON - FDNY UNITS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO CROSS THE ROUTE DURING NORMAL RESPONSES. WITH THIS IN MIND, FDNY HAS REDEPLOYED FIRE UNITS TO BOTH SIDES OF THE ROUTE. EXPECT DIFFERENT RESPONSES ALONG THE ROUTE TODAY. ADDITIONAL FIRE UNITS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DEPLOYED INTO THE BORO. OF STATEN ISLAND.

Yes, I looked out from my window this morning and saw TL172 and a rearmount ladder like L166 staged at E160/R5.

Where does ladder 102 go to when the race is going on in front of there house and also ladder 114 and 201 and the 40 batt ?? From what I can think of off the top of my head

Also E239 and E58/L26 ;)

They stay in quarters. We send units over the VZ to stage in SI. There are also Decon Task Forces set up along the route. Occasionally, you will see companies along the route cheering the runners on.
