Run Announcement:

Tonight at 8PM ET, Zechariah will run 1-mile carrying the Blue Line Flag in honor of fallen NYPD Detective and 9/11 survivor advocate Luis "Lou" Alvarez.
We ask/encourage agencies from across the nation to join our son at 8PM ET (5PM PT) as he pays tribute to this fallen hero.

Arrangements... Public Wake at Towers Funeral Home Oceanside LI NY Tues 7-2-19 1300 to 1600 & 1800 to 2100 ..... Funeral at Immaculate Conception Church Astoria Qns NY Wed 7-3 1000 hrs......(His Father was a long time Deacon at the Church).


 
DET LUIS ALVAREZ FUNERAL PROCESSION ROUTES 7-3-19 0900 hrs leaving Oceanside LI NY & heading to Astoria Qns..Several arches/overpass's have been arranged ...the route is as follows..Foxhurst Rd in Oceanside to Lincoln Ave to Merrick Rd to Ocean Ave to the Southern State Parkway to Cross Island Parkway to Whitestone Expwy to Grand Central Pkwy to the Church in Astoria ....at the completion of the Funeral Mass the
procession will travel East bound along the Long Island Expwy to Pinelawn National Cemetery.
