  No, we haven't forgotten. I remember when P.O. Edward Byrne was killed in the line of duty. I remember it well.

  Thank you for that tribute to him along with his family. May he Rest in Peace.
 
"Central Park Precinct", up to the early 70's was the 22 Precinct just as the now defunct "Prospect Park Precinct" was the 74. And just to add two more, today's "Midtown South Precinct" was the 14th and "Midtown North" was formerly the 18th.
 
Remember seeing these blue and oranges well, from my days in The Bronx. Never did understand the color choice.....Transit,down the block from me, had those darker blue colored cars.
 
The Nassau County PD used a similar color scheme on its RMPs for years.  The blue & orange were the county's colors (not just the PD's colors).

One of those suspects got parole back in 2018. 2 of the guys we're responsible for the killing of Sergeant John Victor Young of the SFPD. Jones gun was used to shoot at another SFPD officer aswell. 3 got 25 to life, 1 died in prison, and like I said, the last one got parole
