The Rig looks nice but why do FDs change from the traditional Red.....there are so many color deviations around the Country.

The Rig looks nice but why do FDs change from the traditional Red.....there are so many color deviations around the Country.
They want their apparatus to stand out from the crowd, in reality of studies have shown that the color of the unit does make a big difference as far as accidents etc. go, remember lime-green :D! The department I used to be with in upstate New York used to have all the rigs white over red but in the last couple of years all the new ones have been ordered black over red! Not sure why but as long as they function as specified it doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

Seems everyone wants to be tacti-cool with their blacked out rigs. So they can sneak right up on the fire...
