For those of you who have enjoyed music from the past, I would like to present to you some of the singers and music groups who have passed on and are no longer with us.
They entertained us for years as we danced and sang to their songs.
We listened to their music on those old 45s.

Feel free to add or comment to this list of those singers of the past that we enjoyed for so many years.

As we begin, I will present to you the group known as "Johnny Mastro and the Brooklyn Bridge".
The lead singer Johnny Mastro passed away in 2010
Les Cauchi - backup singer passed away in 2020
Fred Ferrara - backup singer passed away in 2011
Mike Gregorio - backup singer passed away in 2003

She had many hit songs during her singing career.

Songs like:
You Don't Own Me - 1963
It's My Party - 1963

Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows - 1963
That's the Way Boys Are - 1964
Look of Love - 1964
California Nights - 1967

And this one in 1964.
She passed away on February 16, 2015.
May She Rest in Peace and we Thank Her for sharing her singing talent with us

Here is singer Lesley Gore singing for us her big hit song

"Maybe I Know"

His famous hit came out in 1962 and in February, 1963 it reached the Number 1 spot on the chart.

But he is no longer with us.
He passed away in August, 2023 at the age of 83.

Here is Ray Hilebrand on the Ray Stevens Show singing his famous hit - "Hey Paula"

It was 1964 when singer Betty Everett teamed up with singer Jerry Butler to record their big hit on Vee-Jay Records titled, "Let It Be Me".

Betty Everett passed away in August 2001 at the age of 61 years old
Jerry Butler passed away in February 2025 at the age of 85 years old

We thank them for sharing their musical talent with us.

May both Betty Everett and Jerry Butler Rest in Peace.

Here is the great performance they gave us as they sang "Let It Be Me".
