Can anyone provide some information about the new Paramedic Response Unit's?


Main Questions:

1) How many units are there & what call-sign/Unit numbers do they have?
2) What do they respond to?
3) What rank is the paramedic?

Is there another form or link that shows the specs what carried on them staffing and where are they and how many units there are
 
I was able to look it up and I noticed that the first units or suburbans have they decided on the current vehicle to use and how many are there or have they even decided all that yet
 
Is there anyway for the ladder companies to do split operations a Use there ssl truck  to use as a EMS response squad
 
Thats not the point of the SSL rig plus there is nobody trained to Paramedic level in Trucks & most have enough fire & emergency responses.....beef up the EMS side.
 
I'm not looking to hijack the thread here. Chief you are 100% correct in stating "beef up EMS." However, in order to do that salaries and working conditions have to be raised. I'll shut up now or I'll go on forever. ;D

I remember some time spent at the Nevada Test Site.  We were running some underground nuclear tests in the summer -- 115 in the shade (whereever THAT was!_) and two layers of anti-C clothing and SCBA looking for leaks in the earth.

^^^^ The BN Rigs now are overkill.....giving them something like the PRU pictured would be even worse overkill.....a waste.

Lafd has been experiencing for years for a new battalion truck but I think they are using the one on the bottom now but still have suvs
