Wild footage coming up on most major news sources now but a United Airlines flight landing in the crosswind runway (29) got so low they clipped a bakery truck with their landing gear. Driver survived with minor injuries.

Lotsa pee testing coming up for those pilots I suppose...

Runway 29 at Newark is the approach for cross winds and the runway is only 6700 feet compared to the 10,000+ the normal 4/22 runway is. They can accommodate the heavy aircraft but there’s not much margin for error there.

I drove the Newark Bay Bridge several times a day when I was working at the port and the amount of go-arounds and near misses I saw with aircraft on the 29 approach was nuts.

Can you just hear that phone call from the driver of the truck..."Listen boss, you're not going to believe this but.....................
