On the night of Thursday, August 11th, 2022 the Port Washington Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] on Bayview Avenue off Carlton Avenue. Firefighters stretched two hand lines and put one hand line into operation for a fire on the second floor of an unoccupied two and a half story peaked roof private dwelling. Roslyn Highlands was assigned as the FAST and Manhasset Lakeville Company 2 responded to the scene with Ladder 8720 as a working truck. The fire was quickly knocked down and its cause is under investigation. Port Washington Chief of Department Brian Waterson [8500] had command of the incident. Text courtesy K2M Photography.
