Sounds like us old buffs are not going to be able to listen in on dispatch very much longer because of radio update !!!! 800 mhz. Encrepted I suppose !!!

Because people buying those cheap baefang radios talking on the frequencies…. It’s gonna happen… when is the question…. No all rigs have the new radios yet so closer to that time. Field Com Spares are both getting new radios now

Living in Central Illinois I rely on Broadcastify for Boston, FDNY, and yes even Chicago. So going encrypted won't be good for me, wonder what will happen to them for its future?

Bullshit ,!!!! The REAL reason is that OUR Goverment does'nt want us to know what is happing around us .Billions %$$$ of taxpayers money spent.We need newer radios,systems ,Tech etc. But remember,dispatch can flick on and off, systems so they can turn off repeaters etc
So no one else can ?? !!!!
