Recommended book Read: Torched

I just finished reading the ebook “Torched”. It is about the EPIC failures of the City of Los Angeles, the California Governor’s Office, and to some extent the Los Angeles CITY Fire Department during the Jan 2025 Palisades Fire. It graphically depicts how social polices were made a priority over public safety and how politics is allowing the rebuilds to permit the same thing from happening again as if nothing was learned. I think the book attempts to portray the Fire Chief as a hero. She definitely was not. In the end people died , thousands lost everything of value to them and Governor Newsome and Mayor Bass remain in power after displaying absolutely no leadership and being very much contributory to the scope of the disaster.
