When did the other Rescue's 2, 3, 4, 5 get the New Q-Sirens and the New Whelen Mini LED Light Bars????

Rescue 4 is the only one with LEDs, I believe they've had them ever since they got Rescue 1's old rig.
None of them have electronic sirens but I believe they all have mechanical Q sirens.

I saw Rescue 3 not to long ago i heard their Q-Siren... It's nothing like Rescue 1's. I love Rescue 1 EQ2B Siren i bought one for my 2009 Chevy Silverado

To my knowledge, only R1 has LED's and a new Q siren.

R3 has their own modified Q in addition to the normal FDNY noise.

R2 has the normal FDNY noise, as well as railway horns in place of the traditional bull horn.

the other 2 rescues im not too sure about.

Rescue 1 has the LEDs and the eQ2b
R-2 has train horns added, but still have the air horns that came with the rig, and when they first got their rig, they had added a Q, which they no longer have.
R-3 has a smaller mechanical siren that comes and goes, possibly an old Federal model 28
R-4 has LEDs, a real Q, and heard they put a rumbler on the PA300
R-5 has the same lighting and siren package that came with the rig.

But there's no denying that this is the best siren  ::)

That Federal EQ2B certainly sounds anemic compared to a regular Q2B but overall the train air horns get more attention than anything!  I wonder what the Rumbler sounds like with all the background noise.

I love any truck that has a Q-siren makes the truck sound like a REAL FIRETRUCK!!! ;D

I read that myself yesterday.  Isn't it a crock of Sh_t!  Sounds like some Chicago lawyer found a way to make money for himself.  Maybe in the past there was some validity to this but with the introduction of enclosed cabs in the 70s that issue was greatly reduced.  I highly doubt that if a sound exposure study was done for firefighters (I've not seen any information showing where they have been) it would show exposure far below the acceptable OSHA limits.  I work in areas that marginally met the OSHA limit in I can tell you they are significantly louder than riding in a firetruck.  I'm not denying the firefighters have a hearing impairment I'm just questioning the cause being Federal sirens.  Even if it is it is the responsibility of the employer to ensure applicable limits for exposure to sound a respected or that adequate hearing protection is provided.  Nothing in the regulations presents a loud device from being manufactured and sold.
