On 7-19-25 at 87 yrs of age.... REST IN PEACE BROTHER....THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE BOTH MILITARY ( US NAVY ) & FDNY....

Per Tom’s wishes, a private viewing will be held for immediate family in South Carolina. A celebration of life—far more fitting of his spirited personality—will be held in the Bronx, with details to be shared in the coming weeks.

Tom Tracy was a neighbor of mine and a friend. The last time I saw Tom was when we both were at a command post for the New Year's Eve "Y2K" preparedness for the year 2000. Tom was in charge of the Haz. Mat. team positioned the Quarters of Eng. 3, TL-12 and Batt. 7. I think I was an Acting Battalion Chief that night in Batt. 7 due to regular Batt. 7 Chief Jim Hanley Being designated Acting Deputy Chief. In spite of the tense situation due to so many unknowns due to the "Y2K" transition, things went smoothly. Tom's son and my daughter were pals, so it was nice to see my old friend. Rest in Peace Tom we had some good times together. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired.

My cousin worked with Tom on M1 and I met him in passing when they were stationed at Pier 40 when he was retired and stopping by to see "how the boat was doing". He was a good kind guy and definitely someone you could tell had a huge depth of knowledge and skill. RIP.
