With regret, the Department announces the death of retired Firefighter Vincent Piccolino, Ladder 166,
appointed February 5, 1995, retired July 27, 2010, which occurred on September 27, 2026. This member bravely
served this Department protecting life and property in the City of New York in the rescue and recovery at Manhattan
Box 5-5-8087 World Trade Center.
The heartfelt sympathy of the entire Department is extended to the family, relatives, and friends of the
deceased in the midst of the great loss that they and the Department have sustained.
Funeral Service will take place from St. Ignatius Martyr R.C. Church, 721 W. Broadway, Long Beach, NY, on
Friday October 2, 2026 @ 1100 hours. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are
requested to attend in dress uniform.
