I'm assuming the poll is comparing Seagraves of the same era as the Mack CFs, if not there's not much validity to the poll.  Apparatus has changed so much since the CFs' were front-line apparatus.

Looks doesn't mean the darn thing!  Anybody who rates fire equipment on looks is certainly in the wrong business.  The only thing that matters in fire equipment is functionality and dependability!  As the old saying goes you can put lipstick on a pig and it still a pig, for fire presents you can add all the chrome and goldleaf you want but that doesn't help the truck fight fires in any way.
