Salisbury and other surrounding units are engaged in a wind-driven 9 alarm fire at the Salisbury Motel as well as several adjacent buildings.

The Fire Department operates out of one Headquarters building and had an operating budget for FY 2017 of $1.44 million. All members of the Fire Department, with the exception of the Fire Chief, are members of the same collective bargaining unit. In 2016, the Salisbury Fire Department responded to 2,039 calls for service, a majority of which were medical. SFD has 9 full-time personnel, 11 part-time (24 to 28 hours per week) personnel and 12 call personnel.

Long night, just about everone on this run card was there. Tough job with 50-70 mile wind off the ocean; strong work by the early companies keeping it from jumping the street.
 
Salisbury FD audio by Fireground Audio Archive - a 911 ERV Channel. Need the card in reply 5 to keep up with the responding companies from the nearby towns.
