What is the Chief, White helmet, doing with a Metal Halligan Hook? He/She is a supervisor the minute he uses a tool he or she is just another worker. May not seem important but when your attention is diverted from running the fire and keeping your members safe you are doing the wrong thing. Capt. Bob Rainey FDNYT Engine 26 Retired

I know sometimes a lack of manning might force the boss to join in.
Of course it’s not right but sometimes there are just no other choices
