Taunton is another old New England city which has seen better days.  It is one of the oldest cities in the US (1639) and used to be called "Silver City" with several silversmith companies.  It also had iron making factories and textile mills - all gone.

Taunton FD is a good municipal department, 5 or 6 firehouses to protect a lot of old buildings and factories.  Taunton is surrounded by smaller towns, most have paid departments.
