On the ticket for EMS runs it sometimes says:

ENTRY-INIT (8674) INITIAL CALL
ENTRY
What does this mean ?

That's the NYPD version of the pre-release. They send over just enough info to get the alarm out to the firehouse with no details, just an address/location and call-type.

Ohh ok...thanks. Another question...On EMS runs ,the NYPD disp types in the text from the caller and a copy gets sent to EMS for their unit, and, if it fits the call type for a CFRD call, a copy gets sent to the CO, correct?

Frank would know better.  But Last time I checked into.  When the NYPD CRO Enters the job and codes it, depending on the code it will trigger a CFR-D response.  This is why sometimes units get downgraded after the EMS ARD talks to the caller and it's not a CFR-D response.

Also on the otherside some runs will get coded by NYPD CRO as non CRD-D response such as an MVA. Then when the EMS ARD talks to the caller or another call comes in and say the pt is under the car, EMS will make it a TRAUMA and it will kick out a CFR-D/Rescue response.

You can tell where the job came from by looking at the call type.  53, 54, came from  NYPD.  ARREST, UNC, came from EMS

It's a little complicated to explain the entire process but the above is essentially correct. The data from 1 call is sent to 3 different CADS. EMS and PD have a more robust link than ours and they can see each others info, we can see only EMS but there are exceptions of course.

This text - PDCOMP (T21) - means the PD operator who took the info was sitting at turret 21. You should see something like this on almost all CFR runs.
