Tim Donnelly, who is best known for his portrayal of Chet Kelly on "Emergency!," has died, the Los Angeles County Fire Museum announced on Facebook.
Of course this was a favorite TV show in the early days of fire department related EMS.
We all knew L.A. County Fire Dept TV character Chet Kelly.
I remember watching this TV series every week in the 1970s during my days as a volunteer firefighter. We would all line up our chairs in the lounge area, hoping to get the best spot in the house.
These days I have a full collection of TV's Emergency Shows - Season 1, 2 and 3, featuring Tim Donnelly as FF Chet Kelly.
I guess in some aspects, although he wasn't a firefighter in real life, his acting character as FF Chet Kelly, may have played a kind of role model for young volunteer and career firefighters to follow.
