.........."UNBELIEVABLE".............

How many remember the old NYC TV service announcement regarding people throwing litter on the street ?

"A CLEANER New York is up to you".

NYC must be the laughingstock of America. The "Big Apple" rotten to the core from the top down. Used to be the greatest City in the world.

QUOTE...There is possibility that what is currently an Estate Tax beginning at $7 Million is being proposed to be reduced to $750,000 dollars?
This is not going to be tax the rich but also the middle income class.

www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-03-13/mamdani-wants-new-york-estate-tax-threshold-cut-90-to-750-000?embedded-checkout=true

Google AI: As of March 2026, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is proposing a drastic reduction of the state’s estate tax exemption from over
$7 million to $750,000, and raising the top rate from 16% to 50%. This proposal, part of several revenue-raising ideas for a $5.4 billion budget gap, faces long odds of passage as it lacks initial support from Gov. Kathy Hochul, says Bloomberg.com. Bloomberg.com

Key details of the proposal:
Estate Tax Cut: If enacted, this would create the lowest estate tax exemption threshold in the country.
Tax Hike: The plan targets high-net-worth individuals to raise revenue and close a 5.4 billion deficit for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, says Bloomberg.com.
Political Hurdles: Governor Hochul has expressed concerns over affordability and the potential negative impact on the state economy.
Alternatives: The mayor has also proposed a 9.5% property tax hike as a "last resort" if state-level revenue measures fail, says YouTube.

(This is NOT politics, political, international or otherwise - this is giving context to the subject that is being pushed as a solution here in NYS NYC. - Please discuss policy matters related to the wealth tax issue pertaining to NYS NYC - and do not involve politics, national or international as the subject pertains to NYS NYC policy ONLY!)

Google AI: If implemented, Mayor Mamdani’s proposal to lower the NY estate tax exemption to $750,000 would cause a middle-income family inheriting a $1 million home to pay significant estate taxes. The tax would apply to the amount over the new threshold (roughly $250,000+), potentially forcing the sale of the home to pay the tax bill. Crain's New York

While Mamdani’s proposal intends to tax the wealthy, lowering the exemption to $750,000 means an average home in many parts of NYC would push families into the taxable category. UNQUOTE.

There is a video of the governor begging for money because the state and city are broke and the wealthy are leaving at rates that would cause the city to resemble a sub 70Iq country in three years. I’ve attached a picture of the governor from the video today. I can post that as well

I feel really bad. They’re going to start to tap into public servants nest eggs next. It’s inevitable. They will then blame “free people” for moving where they want because they refuse to be taxed into submission.”These” people think you are their slaves.
