Was Ladder 85 a broken axle or a cracked chassis? When I went there after they got assigned the 75' from Ladder 84 they said the chassis cracked twice.

What is going on with the FDNY ladder trucks? 169 loses it's transmission and 41 breaks an axle. Yikes! Hopefully the shops or wherever it goes can work some magic.
