Why would the tightness of the street make a difference with two sections of a ladder company?
If one makes it out of quarters, the second one would also, correct?
I had always heard that when the FDNY ordered new pumpers in the 1960s if the new pumper had NO POWER STEERING the FDNY got a free Partner Saw with each new pumper. I wonder how many extra parked cars were scraped due to no power steering in those Engine Companies.
