The Volunteer Firemen’s Association of the City of New York (VFANYC) was organized on February 22, 1884, Inc.

All VFANYC departments provide volunteer members with hands-on firefighting and EMS training that puts you in the middle of the action and prepares you for any situation.

Service, community engagement, and leadership development are becoming increasingly important parts of the organization as volunteers work their way toward earning national and state certifications.
