Hydroxy treatment is a real-life saver for severe Smoke Inhalation victims. Hydroxy is an Advanced Life Support drug procedure giving an Antidote for the Cyanide poisoning commonly found in smoke inhalation. Hydroxy is given in addition to Oxygen. It can & has saved many lives of fire/smoke inhalation patients and using it in the field administered by trained A.L.S. Paramedics is reasonably new, or so I am told.
