Encryption for the FDNY would be a PR disaster for the department. Anyone with any knowledge of the department’s fine history would understand this. The facility to move to an encrypted channel if needed for terror or security related incidents is a good idea, but… every borough, every rig? it...

Anyhow…. a big shout out to the vollies, excellent work down there, we rarely mention them on the forum but they do fantastic work in the community. Even in storm Sandy they never left the peninsula, I know this church is very special to them, and it’s still standing.

Bronx & SI, Manhattan seams dead now, no Brooklyn or Queens. Open MHz still working, no Queens or CW1 though. I think maybe we all took the feeds for granted? Hopefully someone will get the feeds up and running again. I can’t bear to listen to that digital audio from other departments!

I believe it was an FDNY member that ran the Broadcastify feed, has he been told to remove it? Open Mhz feed for FDNY was really good until some comments about FDNY & Israel appeared alongside the feed, it mysteriously went down after that and has never been the same since it came back up. I...

Or maybe they're trying to learn lessons from each incident learn from them and pass it on to make things better? Doubt if its a boredom thing
