    I have to Question the reluctance of Not sending Manhattan units into Queens. Its 2.45 A.M. and from what I can see more Bronx Units were assigned than Manhattan. Why not take that Very short ride over the Queensboro.

    Did he get caught in the southerly current? Could not recover? The West Channel would have been the way to go by the FDR , maybe not Familiar with the waters around here. At least everyone is OK.

    So an update on this issue. The FDNY Is in possession of the plaque and it will be erected and dedicated at this site on the new building going up there. Got the Updated info from Nomi Tinkleman Representing Tiffany Caban NYC Council Member. The formal announcement should be made soon on a date.

    Still waiting for a Formal plaque dedication at this site. New building going up there and looks like the old one will be torn down. Took it to the District and they were not helpful at all. Staying on it , they will NOT Be forgotten.

    In the old Neighborhood L-43 AND L-26 Both had American Lafrance Tillers. Fastest rigs in the City. L-4 Fits a Tiller I have seen L-6 on a relocation there a few times.
