    Same thing down here for E.1/L.5. They had a hi rise project behind the firehouse and for fun the locals would shoot at the kitchen windows. The project was eventually torn down.

    Capt, this has been like that for as long as I remember. Once our fire communications hears that the entire box is in service then a D.C. is dispatched who then takes command of the fire ground and a lot of B.C.'s don't like that.

    Tall Ladder

    I guess that's it. I just haplened to pick up that designation while going through a list someone posted of the history of every FDNY units locations over the years and I saw a tall ladder 1 and a tall ladder 2 and I was wondering what they were.
