    Chicago total company runs 2023.

No, referring to "E-104 197 total with 53 EMS and 114 fire, and its truck company T-61 with 265 fire related and 101 EMS runs for a total of 36"

    Chicago total company runs 2023.

Any insight on why, for the slowest house, the truck would be doing more medicals than the engine? I don't know anything about how the CFD operates. Thanks

Ok, I guess I could have said "other than some extremely minor details", all squads get assigned the same way...

Fleet Friday FDNY SPECIAL UNIT COMPARTMENTS

Here is a picture of the TRV. My understanding is before the other six squads were formed, SQ1 ran with the TRV as a second piece for both technical rescue and HAZMAT responses. I am not sure exactly what would trigger a response (certain signal or alarm level, etc). It also served as a backup...

    Temporary Relocations

If I recall correctly the old rescue services rig, which had a rescue body, used to act occasionally as a Tac and also as SOC logistics. Could be wrong. I don't think this truck is around anymore? Not sure though. Of course, lots of other spares with rescue bodies.

Anybody know what would be in those red bags the members from E40 were carrying? Curious what equipment would be involved with the lobby control designation, if any.

    1/14/24 Brooklyn 2nd Alarm Box 1290

I personally do not understand how anybody can argue for anything other than "the closest unit to the call gets the run". Yes, I'm sure it sucks if you're in quarters and a multiple alarm goes out near you and you miss out while a relocator gets the job, but if they're closer, they're closer...

1/16/2024 Brooklyn All Hands HAZMAT Box 0574

Thanks, sounds like SQ252 is on it. Not sure if SQ1 got in as an engine and thus 252 responding as a SQ, or if they're assigned as the HMTU

    San Francisco busiest engine company.

That's an incredible number of runs. It seems that debates arise from time to time as to who the busiest engine companies in America are, so I did some digging on this topic today and wanted to share some statistics. The busiest engine companies in FDNY currently do between 6,000 and 7,500 runs...

    1/10/24 Manhattan Collapse Box 197

This question is in the weeds I admit, but I know there are people on here with first hand knowledge so I'll try: can you give a 10-75 as a final signal? My understanding has been that 10-75 is a request for resources, nothing more nothing less. On the other hand, the final signal describes the...

1/10/24 Brooklyn Train Derailment Box 7253

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe certain boxes near the water receive an automatic marine response regardless of the nature of the box. This was fairly close.
