Just a questions about the war years assignment card: How is 73 ahead of 46 but 27 ahead of 42? Was this just to keep companies available or were the companies now with each other in quarters then?

This just goes to show you how odd the "War Years" assignment cards were. I'm speculating L27 was a double company so it made sense to send one of them out before another ladder co. knowing the other section would cover L27 area. Notice that normally 4th due E45 is not on the card.
