11/27/2010 2nd Alarm Box 2584

Box 2584, which is Jerome Ave and 168th Street, was initially transmitted. The dispatcher contacted E68 with specifics, as they are assigned 1st due.

The actual location was almost three blocks away. Box 2585, Walton Ave and 168th, would have been more accurate, where E92 is first due (and closer to both boxes than 68).

Rundown should be:

92 68 50 42     44 49 19 FAST BN 17 13 S41 R3

93 46 71 75     45 27

Actual 1st alarm assignment was never broadcast. L55 assigned as the FAST. E82 and L45 extra E/T. Full 2d alarm was

46 93 43          27

A lot of companies closer than E82 so must have been units out elsewhere.

Some of the relocations:

E79 (maybe 89?) to 50       L42 to 55
E69 - 43                            61-27

Chief of BN 17 was pleading for EMS from the moment he was 10-84. Dispatch had notified EMS from the git-go.

Here's the run down:
Box 2584 Transmitted at 2149 for the address 31 East 169 Street.
Engines 68,50
Trucks 49,44
BN-17
Second call reporting 131 East 169 Street. Box 2712.
42 Engine assigned, E-71, R-3, Sq-41 on calls.

10-75 @ 2153
L-55(FAST) Bn-26

10-45-1 at 2154
All Hands at 2154 RAC 3, Div-6, E-82 and 45 Truck Assigned.
2-2 @2202
Engines 46,93,43,Ladder 27 BN-13 Safety, 14 RUL, SB,RB,FC, Tac-1, E-72/SAT-2

This was ANOTHER UCT Foul up.
E-96/50 81/71, 69/43, 62/42
L-48/49. 29/55, 61/27
BN-49/26

From what I can see, they stuck with the original Box number, as opposed to changing it after the address was corrected.
This is why you have the assignment you see.

If 2712 was used the assignment would have been
50,68,42
44,19
Bn-27

Now. before anyone says to me where is 92??? I understand it's their first due box. However, they weren't available, so I am going by the assignment card, taking into account that 92 wasn't in the mix. Three or four blocks makes an interesting difference in assignments.

I heard the "9", thought it was 79 or 89.

Thanks for the rundown and analysis, 150.

Was the jumper the 10-45 code 1, or the man who was found in a stairwell the code 1?

10-45-1 was in the stairwell, there was also a 70 year old woman who fell from a fire escape
