Wow great stuff! Also note all the buildings on the left where eventually demolished for "urban renewel" 40 plus years later they are only now being developed.
 
I used to work with a FF who whenever the subject of the Lower East Side came up would ask a new guy "Hey did you hear about the big fire that swept Broome St" & the new guy would say no & George would then say "one block South it would have been Grand" leaving the guy scratching his head.
