Thanks again, Chief.  I did not see you had also posted these totals along with truck totals.  It would be interesting to compare these to respective ladder totals for location similarities. 

Things have changed a lot over the years.  Some companies continue to be busy.  Others have significantly increased or decreased their workloads.

  Bronx Engine 90 is an example. Now number 4 for all hands or greater.

  A retired Brooklyn Dispatcher told me over 20 years ago, that Queens Engine 275 was going to be a busy company. That was even before Ladder 133 went into service with them. That Brooklyn Dispatcher, I believe number "120", was right.

Yes as Willie D stated, some surprises on the list. Engine 90 didn't surprise me as I drove down W.P.Rd from Pelham Pkwy a few months ago going to Van Nest and couldn't believe how $hitty that area is now compared to what it once was and L41 (along with L51) was an interchange company for L33 back in the 70's. What did surprise me was Engine 97. I would have thought Engines 62, 63 and 38 would be ahead of 97 but the times have a changed. So was Engine 159 a surprise but as I don't know Staten Island maybe someone who knows Staten Island can tell me about that area. All this leads up to my one question about this list. Does this mean that these engines were first due at an all hands or just how many all hands they responded to? Thanks in advance.

I'm almost sure any All Hands on Staten Island, E159 responds with the Satellite, that's why their numbers are high.

  That's why I've been saying the Bronx has been flipped upside down. Who would've believed 30 years ago that HL39 would be one of the busier trucks and Bn14 would be quieter than Bn20?

  One of the reasons for the drop is Gentrification that is going on in those neighborhoods as well as others like Sunset Park, Williamsburg, Alphabet City, East Harlem and Mott Haven.

It would have to be total AH's and above, not just 1st due.

E97 goes into a lot of the jobs in Wakefield, Williamsbridge, Morris Park, etc., 4th due, extra engine or 2d alarm. It's merely a function of their geography.

I would be curious to know where Eng 63 was ranked since 62 79 97 and 38 are  in the top 33. Also where eng 66 is ranked since they also run with bthese companies

Well put 3511 I think that's true for some of these units listed.  E97 doesn't do much first due work but the co north south and west of them are fairly active and they end up being busy by association. Not taking anything away from 97 but just a fact
