E-45 reports they were involved in a minor MVA at Southern BLVD & 173rd St. while operating at Box 2914

During the War Years and before, the actual box 2914 was at Boston Road and Southern Blvd. This was the furthest south assignment for 88/38.

45 82 88  31 38

As was the custom back then, L38 would roll from quarters before E88 if they were due in before 88. (L38 had a lot of long runs first due with E's 45 and 48 or second due with E's 42, 61 and 97.)

When 2914 came in, L38 would race down the boulevard to beat L31 to the box, and often did.

L38 is 4th due there today. (58,31,27)

3511,  Box 2914 is the same location as you mentioned, I guess the accident was not at the Box corner

Gman look at the location you typed in and then look at the Card you posted!!!!!

The Correct location for Box 2914 is Boston & Southern Blvd.  as per FDNY starfire computer.

Corrected it, blame it on "brain failure" ;D
