Any idea on 81/46s where abouts
Didn't hear anything - you would think E81 and/or E79 would be before E95
Looked back at a number of jobs, if all available it was:
E75, 48, 43 (and mostly E79 - then E81)

Yes. That was my guess. 79 a quick jog across Bedford Park and a straight run down Goulden/Reservoir to Kingsbridge Left 100 feet and right down Grand to the box (and Traffic flow on Grand from Kingsbridge is N to S). Just wondering, who knows what was going on when the box came in. Have a great weekend all.

That is actually E81 administrative building and they usually are 4th due although with route they take can get in quick, Grand Ave is a tight narrow block from Kingsbridge road south to Fordham road. Again it’s a Barb thing and also who’s available when run happens. 81 makes a right out of quarters, left onto Kingsbridge road then right onto grand Ave

Mac,

Your post brought back some nice memories. I grew up at University and 195 . Back in the late 60’s and early 70’s - although 81/46 were first due at my home box 3388, 75/33 would consistently beat them into that area, (university and strong street, Claflin and 195 etc) 75/33 were at Jerome and 183 at that time. The primary reason for this was that it took 81/46 quite a bit of time to climb the hills from Bailey Avenue ( either via Albany crescent, Kingsbridge terrace, Perot. Street, or via Kingsbridge Road) with the older gasoline and early Diesel engines which may have pushed 285 horsepower. Today, with the modern 450/ 500 hp Diesel engines, 81/46 fly up those hills with ease and minutes faster. Thanks stay safe
