So what is the need for to Firefighters on the RAC unit?

Suggest reading the topic on the new RAC Unit which will answer your question and possibly others you may have

I read....I still have no idea why two firefighters are required but if it opens up another quality offline position, God Bless em.    Also have no idea why 2 firefighters helps establish a ?forward?RAC area?    If the guys can?t walk two blocks to get their Gatorade then they need an ambulance, not a RAC unit.  Trapping the unit too deep in the block doesn?t help either if they are needed elsewhere.

I think 2 FFs is a good safety precaution especially if the RAC is parked a distance away..
