When i saw it for the first time back in June it had already been in service for a few weeks. Where these originally speced with the blue light to the rear or was that installed after delivery?
I finally was able to check the date on my picture. It was on May 18th of this year. The truck had already been in service for around a week or so at that time.

From Redlight:

"The first of an add-on order for eight new Seagrave Marauder II 75 foot towerladders is expected to be delivered to Fleet Services within the next few days. This one will be going to Ladder Company 87 on Staten Island. The FDNY registration and Seagrave chassis serial # will not be available until it is actually delivered. The seven following are currently scheduled for assignment to Ladder Companies 157, 18, 53, 1, 170, 131, 33, in that order, as this was written."

Wait ao Ladder 53 is actually getting getting a new rig.

What about Tower Ladder 111? They are up for a new rig also and may need it more then Ladder 53 since they are by far bussier then 53.

fdce............Yes kfd had to hit the wrong number........L 81 just got a new seagrave recently.......It is TL 87s new rig we were at the rock Friday night for training.......

Makes sense: TL 87 and TL 12 were at the shops when the Fire Bell Club went there a few weeks ago.

Regarding my remarks about  L 81  I stated  seagrave by mistake......I meant Ferrara
Wishful thinking?
