D-7 transmit a 3rd Alarm we have extension to the 3rd floor @ 06:02

D-7 s/c 2 trucks above the 3rd Alarm @ 06:30

D-7 transmit a 4th Alarm we have fire in the cockloft @06:06

Is one of these times a typo?  When D-7 sc 2 trucks above the 3rd alarm at 06:30, it was already a 4th alarm at 06:06??

Also I notice that C-3 is not on the rundown - I thought it was protocol for C-3 to respond to high alarms.

Being that the 5th was for relief, was the 6th & 7th also for relief or firefight purposes?

Cars that responded
Car-4 (Chief Of Operations Thomas Richardson)
Car-4F (DAC Of Operations Wayne Cartwright)
Car-4G (DAC Of Communications)
Car-22B (Fleet Mechanic Supervisor Louie Morbelli)
Car-12 (Chief Of Safety & Inspectional Services Command Michael Meyers)
Car-12A (Executive Officer-Chief Of Safety)
Car-12B (Safety Command Liaison BC Edward Walsh)
Car-23B
Car-23D (Press Duty Car)
Car-24B (Director Technical Services - MEU Steven Perrone)

Anyone know who Car 4G & Car 23B are

Car 2H is Deputy Press Secretary I thought

My list could be outdated.  Car 2H, I just have as "Press Secretary".  Maybe have 2H and 23B reversed.  But I believe both cars are Press.

Based on the rundowns, looks like almost every company in The Bronx worked at either of this morning's multiples with the exception of:

E-38, 52, 63, 70, 97
L-32, 37, 39, 47, 50, 52, 53, 61

I was in the process of mapping the response/relocations of the Bronx companies on a spreadsheet for the two incidents based on the rundowns when I saw the above reply. UnitWithTheUrgent was right on. Those companies are in the northern most part of the Bronx or in City Island, so it makes sense that they were not used.

Other interesting observations:
1) E73 and L44 were on the first alarm of the Freeman fire, then went on the 4th or 7th alarm of the McClellan fire.  E69 & 75 and L29 were also at both the Freeman and McClellan fires. What time was shift change (7th alarm was at 08:02)?

Update: Found a 2018 post on this site that stated the FDNY shifts were 9A-6P and 6P-9A. Therefore the night shift of the above companies that worked the Freeman fire also worked the McClellan fire. Long night for those guys!

2) Bn 6 from lower Manhattan first relocated to Bn 11, then went on the 5th alarm. E211, E323, L146 and L157 from Brooklyn also had long drives to their relocations.

PS: Kudos to Signal73 for the 2 rundowns. Always amazed how folks on this site post the information almost in real time, even in the middle of the night.
Also kudos to the folks in the Bronx Dispatch. Can't imagine how hectic it must have been during those hours. Freeman went under control at about the same time as McClellan went to a 4th.

Once again, another GREAT JOB done by "signal73" in providing us with this rundown.

Special THANK YOU also to "skylerfire", "FDNY Response Videos" and "THEMAJESTIRIUM1" on providing us with those Great Videos for those of us who couldn't be there to watch the progress of this huge multiple dwelling fire.

And without a doubt, the members of the FDNY that had to extinguish and check every corner, and every ceiling of every room, in all those apartments for any fire extension.

As we know there was also another good 4th alarm going on at Freeman St, not too far from this McClellan St, as "ALA117" says. Some of the same companies that responded to the earlier 4th alarm, also went in on this 7th alarm.

It was the FDNY War Years all over again.

GREAT JOB DONE BY ALL.
