A LOOK BACK.

82 / 31 ... INTERVALE AVE 1960's ..... View attachment 57811
I recall riding as a teen back during the hey-day E 82 ran out of L 31's bay...the house was stacked, L 31 side had the longer bay, E 82 / E 85 were stacked in the rear side by side a real tight squeeze but doable, TCU with rearmount took the front spot...L 31, a tiller, fit comfortably in E 82's bay, the kitchen was behind and no more room. Of course when they were running crazy many times the rigs just idled outside...History repeats itself, now On the job after 19 years I transferred into La Casa Grande, L 42 is in quarters as their firehouse is under renovation and the rigs are stacked again the same way with L 42 now sided by side with E 82 in the rear and L 31, now a TL running out of E 82's bay. Glory Days.
