Description Of Incident: Ladder 11 o/s reporting nothing showing from a 12-story brick high-rise OMD. Ladder 11 reporting fire in Apt. 9 "J" on the 9th floor. Battalion 2 transmitting a Signal 30(2nd Alarm) for manpower and for aerial rescue. Apartment fire on the 9th floor w/heavy smoke condition throughout the 9th and 10th floors. All hands working. Originally reported as a fire on the 9th floor. Engine 1, Tower Ladder 5, Rescue 5, and Battalion 1 initally Signal 24(Off the Air) for confined-space rescue training and added to the Signal 30(2nd Alarm) Assignment. All searches negative. Several victims transported to the hospital by AMR.

10:38hrs. - Battalion 2 reporting searches underway. A/H/W. One victim being rescued by Ladder 11's aerial ladder.

10:43hrs. - Battalion 2 reporting fire is k/d.

With this response, I'm  sure Fairfield FD relocated units to Bridgeport; usually either to 3/4s or to HQ (E 1, L 5, R5).

I'm sure they did, along with Stratford FD.
