Car 40?

Heard over EMS Brooklyn North "Car 40", Definitely could've misheard, but someone else asked me what it was.

Only thing I was able to find about it was 40A, 40B, and 40C during 9/11, but even still everybody wasn't 100% sure what it was then.

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what it could have been.

Years back that would have been the Queens Boro Commander. Sorry, no idea of what it may be today.

At 9/11, the 40 cars were for SOC. Downey (Rescue) was 40A, Chief of HAZMAT I believe 40B, Chief of Marine 40C. That said, these aren't the designations today as SOC are all 11 cars. Also definitely not the Queens boro, which is Car 9.
