Perhaps they don't dare use the term "FDNY" for fear of being sued??    ??? ::) ???

If I'm not mistaken, the dealer FDNY went thru in the past was Seagrave Sales & Service of South Plainfield NJ; I think that they relocated to East Brunswick, NJ.  No dealer in LIC.

I went back and look and they have actually changed the listing.  It no longer says Long Island City.

It may be the lighting in the building but the red on these trucks looks a little different than on the other trucks FDNY has!  I would think they should have a standard color that is part of all of their specifications.

Unit 4019 is really coming along, and really beginning to look like a FDNY rig with the stripping.  Check it out at:

Check out 3981 at the same site.  Unit has been spray painted.

They look really great. I love those specialty compartments on the roof.  They make use of every bit of space and give great access to equipment.

This is what I hear regarding Collapse Rescue 5: They're trying to fit it out with all the tools because once they start putting tools on it's a pain to take things off to put them somewhere else. ;)

what are they planning on doing with C3 old rig i heard they might dispose the trailer and keep the tractor around, i know the trailer is showing its signs of old age but wouldnt it be wise to keep it as a spare or backup??? i mean what do they use if one of the collapse rigs goes oos and especially if its going to be out for a long time.
