FSD Ladder

FSD may be fleet service division, maybe regular rig was taken out of service for a short period and company was using this rig, also think this unit has all equipment on board

Thanks!

I thought they used the unmarked Spare Ladders if the company's regular rig was OOS? Guess they were out of spares. Also, do Reserve Engines or Ladders ever serve as Spares?

I guess as a last resort but have not seen or heard of reserves being used as spares in recent times

I'd be curious to know as well why some rigs get the FSD markings, I have also seen ems and fd cars and SUV,a being used by personnel in place of there regular vehicle. Any chance an fdny member can help us out with what there role is vs. A regular spare, do they have Equiptment on them like the reserves??

Pertaining to EMS sedans and SUV's when the regular SUV is going out for PM or for whatever reason all of the equipment has to be switched over to the spare. That's always fun. As for the sedans used by the EMS Chiefs there is only a few items that have to be switched over.

Mac8146 is right we hae had this happen to us a few times because our trust worthy ferrera was oos we had this for a few hours while they worked on ou rig the only thing we had to swap over were our masks and a few other tools
