Just when we forgot all about the Kavanaugh nightmare !

I'm not defending her. im not calling her out. All I will say is the fact that we are wasting time discussing someone who doesn't matter at the end of the day is getting nothing of substance accomplished.

She’s jockeying for a spot in the mayors office, she doesn’t matter? We saw how she destroyed a department for a few years. Hearing Von Essen talk about how horrible she was put a ton in perspective
 
Kavanaugh did a tremendous amount of damage to the FDNY in a short period of time. Fortunately, the job is resilient and her successor has seemingly turned things in the right direction. The notion that she doesn't matter does not withstand scrutiny, and anybody who cares about the FDNY should be deeply concerned at the notion she would be elevated to a position with even more power than her last position.
 
In my opinion there should never be a civilian fire or police commissioner. He or she should come from the ranks. Only those of us who served know what it's really like in the trenches. I know FDNY is diferent but down here the last civilian fire Commissioner was in the early 50's. Also our commissioner actually takes over- all command of the F.G.when he responds. He still relies on the chiefs but its his call to go to a higher alarm or put the incident under control.
 
She is going to get a spot in the new administration. If you know who her parents are, one of the largest donator to the Democratic Party . They are so hung , Obama gave her a job in his campaign, when he was finished she went to work for Deblasio, Deblasio made her ancting commissioner and on his way out of office made her commissioner . Then Adams kept her as Commissioner. Money talks .
